Near Paris, a reception venue is nearly always shared: one room among others, a time slot, neighbours. Here the whole estate is hired by a single couple. The 5 hectares, the château and the Park Pavilion are yours, and nobody else is on site on the day of your wedding.

The distance that matters
Close enough that everyone comes
The real question is not the distance, it is the number of guests who say yes. At about an hour from Paris, nobody declines because of the journey, and nobody leaves before dessert.
Guests arriving by car park inside the gates, on 35 spaces, a few steps from the front door. Those coming by train get off at Vernon-Giverny, 45 minutes from Saint-Lazare, then take a 15-minute shuttle that we arrange with you.
The morning after
A weekend, not an evening
At this distance, guests who travelled do not leave straight away. Many stay on: Monet's gardens at Giverny are about twenty minutes away, and the villages of the Norman Vexin begin at the gates of the park.
That is the difference between a hall you leave at the end of the evening and an estate you stay in. The wedding stops being a date and becomes a weekend.

How far is the estate from Paris?
Allow about an hour by road, a little more from central Paris and a little less from the west. By train, Paris Saint-Lazare reaches Vernon-Giverny in around 45 minutes, then a 15-minute shuttle brings you to the estate. Measured times from several towns are at the foot of this page.
How do guests without a car get here?
By train to Vernon-Giverny, then by a shuttle we arrange with you around your guests' timings. It is what couples choose when many of their friends come from Paris: nobody drives, and the journey home stops being a question.
Can guests stay the night?
The estate has 10 bedrooms, 20 beds in all: 5 twin and 5 double. The couple and those closest to them stay on site, and everyone else leaves when they choose, with no late drive imposed by a venue's closing time.
Is there another wedding on the same day?
Never. The estate is hired by one couple at a time: the five hectares, the château and the Park Pavilion are yours, with no neighbouring party and no shared drinks reception.
